Thirty five years of residential and commercial property development, construction management and renewable energy experience. This includes all aspects of a major homebuilding company, i.e. lot development, building construction, sales, customer service, office administration and renewable energy installations. Ownership and direct management of a multi-family building company in New Mexico and the management and /or ownership of general contracting and renewable energy companies until today.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

General Contractor – M43 LLC Fine Homebuilding and Integro, Inc  Santa Fe, New Mexico   

Owned and operated a high-end custom home building company. Worked with prospective clients from lot selection and purchase through home design and plans to finish construction of the home. Particular emphasis was placed on the ‘green’ aspects of the design and construction of the building, focusing on renewable energy aspects that would earn a Silver or Gold level through the HERS rating system. The builder received multiple awards over many years in the Parade of Homes competition sponsored by the Santa Fe Homebuilders Association for design, construction and craftsmanship. Custom homes ranged in price from $500,000 to $2,000,000.

Managing Partner – Integro Solar  Santa Fe, New Mexico

Manager and Owner of a renewable energy company. NABCEP certified for Level 1 installer. Designed and sold renewable energy systems for prospective clients.

High Mesa Properties   Santa Fe, New Mexico

Projects included The Agora shopping mall and over twenty large high end custom homes.

Lomas Santa Fe Group  San Diego, California

Managed a residential and commercial building company. Directed office and field staff in the development and construction of three subdivisions of $400,000+ tract homes. Other projects included a 115,000 sq. ft. shopping center, commercial warehouses and office buildings, and for-sale developed residential lots.

Ramar Development Co.  San Diego, California

Managed a residential development company from bare ground to finished houses.. Projects included a 350-acre planned unit residential development, a commercial strip center and two multilevel apartment buildings.

Project Manager – San Diego Diversified Builders  San Diego, California

Estimated project costs, selected subcontractors, finalized contracts, analyzed project costs and oversaw field construction. Projects included two subdivisions of residential homes.

Framing and General Contractor – J.F. Salopek Construction  Albuquerque, New Mexico

Owned and operated a framing and general contracting company. Primarily operated a fast track framing company that included panelized wall systems as well as conventional stick-built construction.. Projects included custom and tract homes, commercial buildings such as grocery stores, motels, warehouses and office buildings. Type of work included wood and steel stud framing. Also general contracted custom homes and commercial remodels.

Field Foreman – Stahmann Farms  Trawalla, Biniguy, New South Wales, Australia

Managed two land leveling crews on a 2,000 acre irrigated farm. Designed field layout, surveyed and graded raw land to finished paddocks. Also operated excavators, tractors and finish grading equipment.
